I have been planning on using this flower to get the black accent that I wanted for the wedding probably since November. Last week all those months of dreaming came to a screeching halt when I was told they wouldn't be in season. I had a little "moment" in my head, and later on to Will since I had read that they were in season until August...apparently a couple of websites have lied to me because I called other florists just to double check. They said the same thing, "They're done for the year." I still don't want to accept this, but I guess I have to.
So how do I get my black accent in my bouquet, you may ask? Daisies...I know, I know, they have nothing to do with my "vision". They're just totally wrong, right?...Wrong. Hopefully.
If it's done right, I can still have my white flower with the black center and keep the vintage feel I want. Now, daisies can't even compare to anemones, but they're the next best thing. (I would still demand anemones if I knew it would help though.)
Beautiful, wonderful Anemones
Ice Queen Gerbera (minus the gem in the middle.)
