Wedding Diet...Wedding Shmiet

So, of course everyone is expected to go on a diet when they get married. I find that a little ridiculous. Who cares if you're fat or if you're skinny. Despite my stance on this topic, I have entertained the thought a time or two. In the beginning, I thought maybe I would diet. That lasted all of a day and a half. So, I thought, it's the holidays...I'll just start later. Then I went to try dresses on a couple of weekends ago. They are miracle workers! They suck everything in and make you look great! It was settled. I would not be dieting or working out for the wedding. I didn't need to! My dress would do it for me. This plan was quickly shattered when my sister asked, "What about the honeymoon? You'll be in a bathing suit...and lingerie." My perfect plan was ruined. Then I went to to the doctor Friday to get rid of a persistant cough and stepped on the scale....once again, perfect plan=ruined.
Now, I'm sitting here eating my quaker oats blueberry rice cake snacks and drinking my strawberry lemonade crystal light (which always reminds me of my wonderful roommate freshman year). However, I am not dieting...just attempting to be healthier. I allow myself to sneak a cookie here and there (it IS almost Christmas) or whatever my daily indulgence will be, but most of my food is healthy. I'm planning on working out when I get better since I'm still "sick". :) We'll see how long this attempt lasts.

August 13

Our wedding date has been planned for quite some time. The past year, I've known that I wanted us to get married on August 13th. There are some people who have moaned and groaned about an August wedding and how hot it will be. I didn't choose August just because it sounded good or I wanted everyone to sweat during the ceremony. I chose it because it's our anniversary. For the past six years, it has been a very special day for us (obviously). Next year, it just happens to be on a Saturday, so I had to take advantage of it. It will be our seventh anniversary. Seven just happens to be my favorite number. I am so excited to be able to keep our anniversary even if it means we have to sit outside in August...Don't worry, it's an evening wedding.

What Wedding Planning Has Taught Me So Far

1. Everything is way more expensive than I thought it would be.
2. I am extremely picky when it comes to venues.
3. I do not do well with budgets.
4. No one likes August weddings....Sorry.
5. I will turn down places if they have ugly websites.

We're Engaged!

It's really hard to not make this post cheesey and stereotypical. But, I really am so excited to start planning the wedding and spending the rest of my life with Will. The proposal was perfect, and we got to spend the rest of the evening with family, which made it even better. To prevent any gagging sounds effects (Jenn). I'll just leave the rest to you in pictures. :)
One more thing, I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!
